The Rosewood Azul Talavera Hotel provides guests with stately luxury and modern conveniences while immersing them in the history of Puebla and Mexico. Located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site southeast of Mexico City, the 79 key Rosewood Hotel is comprised of a collection of buildings from different eras, grouped around a central courtyard. The hotel features Renaissance and Mexican Baroque interior architecture, traditional materials, along with art and furnishings made by local artisans. For those looking to tie the knot in this historic setting, the property houses a 300-year-old chapel for the perfect ceremony.

Our Solution

Granville McAnear chose Vice’s U6 Grazing Baffles to dramatically illuminate the natural stone walls throughout the property. Given the historical significance of the hotel, the design intent required illumination of the traditional materials without seeing the source of the light. The Grazing Baffle's superior light control and slim profile provided the perfect solution to achieve an eye-catching final product.
